☠️ Hackers infiltrated the infrastructure of Bitget at least 25 days before the theft of $388,000,000. According to SlowMist, the first activity was recorded on August 31 through a vulnerability in a third-party service. The attackers gained access to internal credentials and used them to approve fraudulent transactions, rather than stealing private keys. Part of the stolen funds passed through CoW Protocol, Chainflip and other cross-chain services.
