Mining pools

A mining pool combines the hashrate of many miners and splits the block reward. Solo mining a large coin can mean waiting months for a block, while a pool pays more often, in proportion to the shares you submit. This page lists pools for Profit-mine coins: pick a coin on the left to see who holds the hashrate, how many miners are connected, the payout scheme and fee, how many of the last 100 blocks the pool found, and when the last block was. It currently covers 82 coins and 200 multipools. A multipool is one brand and one endpoint where several coins can be mined, not just one. Compare share, fees and block stability before you point a miner at a pool.
