Conflux (CFX) joins the miner at the lowest fee on the coin, and Turing cards gain up to 39% on Xelis

What's new

New coin: Conflux (CFX)

• Seventh algorithm. Start it with --algorithm cfx (conflux and octopus also work)
• Dev fee 1.5% — the lowest of any current miner on this coin
• Needs about 8.6 GB of video memory, and that grows slowly as the chain advances: 8 GB cards cannot mine it, 10 GB is tight, 12 GB and up is comfortable. The miner tells you this at startup with the actual numbers instead of failing partway through
• Verified against a live pool: shares accepted, none rejected, and the delivery figure sits around 100% — the hashrate on screen is the one the pool pays for

Xelis: Turing cards are substantially faster

• RTX 2060 — hashrate +36.7%, efficiency +23.6%
• CMP 40HX — hashrate +39.4%, efficiency +19.4%
• CMP 50HX — hashrate +24.6%, efficiency +13.6%
• Five runs per side with the order reversed. Ampere, Ada and Blackwell are unchanged — they were already at their best setting

BTX: 4.7 support

• Support for the new BTX, with images for four card generations
• The pool is reachable and the launchers now point at the right endpoint, but the network itself is close to idle: a handful of miners and no block found for days. Ready when it picks up

Encrypted pool connections on every coin

• ssl:// now works for all of them. Before this only Pearl could use an encrypted connection; the others accepted the address, said they could not, and connected in the clear — which a TLS port answers with silence, so it looked like a pool that stops talking
• The ready-made SSL launchers in the Windows package work as a result: Ravencoin, Quai, Neurai and Xelis (20 of the 28 shipped) were pointing at ports the miner could not speak to

Interface

• One table instead of two — the separate telemetry table is gone. It used to slide out from below on a narrow window, repeat power and temperature, and change the layout while you were reading it
• Clocks sit at the end of the table and are the first thing dropped when the window is too narrow, then fan, PCI address, power and temperature, and efficiency last
• Luck is printed after the algorithm tag, and the tag no longer shifts when the number changes width
• Fixed the log view in HiveOS — the panel's "show log" command used to print garbage instead of text
• Dashboard polish: no more flicker or stray scrollbar, and the cursor comes back when the miner exits

Fixes

• --temp-limit only ever worked on Pearl. On every other coin the flag was accepted, listed in --help, and did nothing at all — you set a temperature cap and got neither the cap nor a warning. It works on all coins now
• Arguments no longer swallow each other: starting without a wallet used to mine to the default pool with the flag text as the wallet, which looked like the miner ignoring your settings. It now says what is missing
• A dead card used to keep showing its last good hashrate in the table, the API and the HiveOS stats file, so no watchdog anywhere could notice it had stopped. It now reads zero
• A failed kernel start is no longer counted as work
• Statistics report shares per card, not just the rig total. The format stays a superset of the old one
• Windows batch files find forge.exe next to themselves and one level up, and say so plainly when they cannot
